Kforce has a fast-growing client that is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic reporting team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong command of US GAAP and a passion for producing accurate, high-quality financial statements and disclosures. You will be part of a collaborative environment where attention to detail, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving are highly valued. Duties include leading the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, preparing standalone annual financial statements for broker-dealer entities, creating monthly cash flow statements, collaborating with teams for data gathering, supporting external audits, conducting technical accounting research, contributing to internal controls, and playing a key role in process improvement efforts.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry with exposure to SEC reporting and technical accounting research
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset and a commitment to doing things the right way

Good to Have

  • Audit experience in a public company setting
  • Familiarity with Workiva Wdesk and Workday Financials

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong command of US GAAP and a passion for producing accurate, high-quality financial statements and disclosures. You will be part of a collaborative environment where attention to detail, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving are highly valued. Duties:

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including related disclosures (footnotes, MD&A, etc.)
  • Prepare standalone annual financial statements for broker-dealer entities within the organization
  • Create monthly cash flow statements and ensure their accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to gather data and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial disclosures
  • Support external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations as needed
  • Conduct technical accounting research on new standards and complex transactions
  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing internal controls over financial reporting
  • Play a key role in ongoing process improvement efforts, especially involving reporting tools and systems

Requirements

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
